1. After full payment of fees you should receive a receipt immediately via email and be redirected to the course page to click ‘Course Enroll’ on our off-site LMS. Create new login details to access the course content. Please keep your login details secure. If any issues arise with access, simply message us and we will sort everything out for you in a timely manner.
2. Full technical support is included with our online course. Our content is clear and understandable. You also have a world of knowledge at your fingertips on internet search engines and online libraries. However, IntrepidTEFL staff will happily answer your basic, course-related inquiries and offer technical support free of charge. Under normal circumstances, we will respond to any technical inquiries within twelve (12) hours, but please allow up to twenty-four (24) hours. If you have issues on the weekend, please message as usual, but understand that a response may take slightly longer than usual – we do our absolute best, but weekends happen!
3. Each unit quiz requires 75% to proceed; content is organized in a specific, meaningful order based on development of ideas.
4. Students must achieve a final quiz score of seventy percent (75%) or above – slightly above the usual British standard for an A grade pass. Upon completing all unit quizzes, the final quiz should be taken (which carries a slightly higher weight than the other quizzes).
5. You may re-sit the midterm and final exams up to three times (3). Failure doesn’t mean you fail the course, but you will need to complete a refresher lesson and review test before repeating the main exam again.
6. We do our utmost to ensure that you receive the best training and service possible. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the service provided by us, then please let us know by emailing or through the IntrepidTEFL contact page.
7. Your digital TEFL certificate is immediately available upon completion of the course. The online verification system is usually updated within one (1) hour, but this process may take longer in some cases. If the verification system isn’t working after 12 hours, please contact IntrepidTEFL for assistance.
8. IntrepidTEFL will refund payments for online courses on request, but the refund request must be made via email within fourteen (14) days of the payment submission. Additionally, you must not have started quiz content past 20% (4 units) of the course lessons in order to receive a full refund. If you have gone further, our copyright and content rights are covered under EU and UK law, meaning we have the legal right to either charge suitable compensation from your refund or refuse to refund. The fourteen (14) day period of inactivity counts as a ‘cooling-off period’ unless content has been accessed beyond the 20% point. 
9. By starting any quiz beyond Lesson 4 (or downloading any material on your logged-in student page), you are deemed to have begun your course and to have acknowledged that your right to a full refund without deductions for your online IntrepidTEFL course is lost. Refunds given after students access any quizzes from Lesson 4 are not possible. 
10. Students may access content relating to each lesson even after their 6 months of login. This is included in the course fee. You have lifetime access to this content, but must use our regular site to gain access via a password-secure link.
11. The free lesson is open to non- and logged-in students to allow you to try before you buy. You can access the free lesson here: https://intrepidtefl.com/free-tefl-course-lesson/ .
12. All refunds must be processed through the original card used for the purchase. Any credit card processing fees are the responsibility of the refunded student, and it may not be possible to change cards due to security reasons. 
13. If, for any reason, you subsequently wish to cancel your online course after the fourteen (14) days has expired, IntrepidTEFL cannot provide a refund. The course organizer’s decision is final. Please try our content in the free lesson before purchasing the course, or refund within the 14-day refundable period. Please read our terms thoroughly to ensure you understand our obligations to you, your rights, and the rights of IntrepidTEFL. We are professional teachers with the intention of providing you with a high-quality, great-value course; we are fair, but our work has value, so please understand that our rules are in place to protect all parties involved. 
14. You have up to six (6) months to complete the 120-hour IntrepidTEFL online course from the date of purchase, or your access will be locked. You may need to pay an additional fee to continue beyond this time. 
15. If you wish to extend your online course deadline then you must contact the IntrepidTEFL administration before your deadline. An additional payment of twenty US dollars ($15) will be required to extend your course for two (2) additional months. Edited November 1st, 2025.
16. Courses are non-transferable. In other words, once you begin one IntrepidTEFL course, you may not change it to another IntrepidTEFL course, should we decide to provide other courses in the future. 
17. All units include text content. The course is designed to be exactly as it is delivered to you (minus any technical faults), meaning that you are not entitled to audio, video, and text on every lesson unless it has been intended to be provided. The majority of units include videos to support the text content, but text is the main method of instruction. 
18. Students should try our free lesson to check if this method of delivery suits their needs before signing up. 
19. Foil-label, embossed, hardcopy (card) certificates are available for a fee to students (generally $70 including all mailing). We charge $15 administration fee on top of the actual courier fee (e.g. UPS, Fed-Ex, or DHL – whichever is best value). However, IntrepidTEFL reserves the right to refuse to create and send paper certificates where doing so is not reflected fairly in the $15 administration fee charged, or where material, printing, labor cost exceeds that fee, or if mailing to a student’s location proves excessively difficult and time-consuming (e.g. if the main couriers such as DHL or UPS do not cover the area). We do, however, offer self-print certificates for $10 as an add-on fee.
20. Purchasing of more than one course per person is only allowed if the second course is for a partner, but the partner’s name must be given within 24 hours or the second course’s 14-day refundable period will automatically be subject to a $2 refund protection fee withheld by IntrepidTEFL in the event that a refund is sought. This fee applies to any duplicate course bought (by the same student): it protects our rights and prevents abuse of our refund system. This does not apply to genuine students who accidentally buy 2 different courses at the same time.
