TEFL means Teaching English as a Foreign Language. A TEFL course introduces the knowledge and teaching approaches you’ll use with learners who are developing their English. IntrepidTEFL’s online courses cover grammar, lesson planning, methodology, language skills, classroom management and online teaching.

TESOL means Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. TEFL and TESOL are closely related terms, and employers often use them when describing English-language teaching training. The name alone doesn’t tell you whether a course fits a job. Check the employer’s required course type, training hours and other qualifications.

Choose the 120-hour TEFL course if you want core TEFL training plus a full online teaching unit. Choose the 150-hour TEFL course if you’d like deeper training for children, very young learners and adults. Then choose Standard for independent study or Premium for more teaching videos, guided scenarios, tutor support and job preparation.

Both cover the core TEFL foundation and online teaching. The 150-hour route adds 10 extension topics: eight in young learner teaching and two in adult teaching. These include routines, development, storytelling, games, phonics and sight words, plus adult motivation, needs analysis and classroom management. You’ll receive certificates at the completed 120-hour and 150-hour stages.

Standard includes 6 months of access, support, text lessons with selected videos, quizzes and scenarios, a content review download, basic job support and your QR-verifiable certificate. Premium includes 24 months of access, tutor support, more videos of teachers teaching real lessons, more scenarios with tutor-written feedback, more practical tasks, and a job support bundle with CV-making help, interview tips and a TEFL teaching travel guide.

An online TEFL course can provide useful teacher training and evidence of completion. To judge a course, check its content, assessments, independent credentials, certificate verification and the requirements of the jobs you want. We list current course prices in USD. Check the checkout total and any conversion charges from your payment provider rather than relying on an old fixed GBP price.

Yes. Learners in the USA can study our online TEFL/TESOL courses. You’ll get the same course content and included digital certificate as other learners on your chosen plan. If you’re buying training for a particular job, check that employer’s qualification and eligibility requirements first. Completing a TEFL course doesn’t by itself establish eligibility for every teaching role.

The 120-hour course costs $27 for Standard or $39 for Premium. The 150-hour course costs $35 for Standard or $49 for Premium. These are one-time USD course prices. The content review download and QR-verifiable digital certificate are included. The 150-hour route includes certificates at both completed stages.

We use self-paced online delivery to make teacher-made training affordable. Standard keeps the package focused on the essentials, while Premium adds more guided learning, support and job preparation. Your listed plan includes the training, stated access period, content review download and QR-verifiable digital certificate. You don’t need to pay an extra QR-code fee. Optional document services, such as apostille processing or courier delivery, are separate. Check any additional service price before ordering it, and check your payment provider’s currency conversion charges if they apply.

You’ll pay securely and learn on our modern, private LMS at tefl.institute/intrepidtefl. Our expert teachers make and update the course content, and we offer the support. Course-specific enrollment buttons first open a short summary, then continue to the matching course page on the LMS.

Our course prices are listed in USD. The secure checkout shows the available payment options and the amount before you confirm payment. If your account uses another currency, check how your payment provider handles conversion and any fees. We don’t promise a fixed GBP or other currency equivalent on this page.

Yes. Our free TEFL lesson lets you explore the explanations and teaching ideas. It continues into applied classroom activities and a practice quiz. The sample helps you judge the core learning style before choosing a full course.

You’ll log in to the private LMS and work through the lessons, quizzes and required assessments at your own pace. Text lessons, selected teaching videos and scenarios help connect the ideas with teaching decisions. Premium includes more lesson videos, scenario learning and practical tasks. After successful completion, you’ll receive the certificate for your completed stage.

You’ll study at your own pace. The time you need depends on your starting knowledge, study schedule and how carefully you work through the lessons and assessments. The course-hour labels describe the training route; they aren’t a promise that everyone will finish in the same number of days. Give yourself enough time to understand and apply what you’re learning.

Standard includes 6 months of course access. Premium includes 24 months. Both include a downloadable content review that you can keep for later reference. Keeping that download is different from having unlimited access to the online platform. If you need help with your access period, contact us.

You can access the online course on a phone, tablet or laptop with a suitable browser and internet connection. A larger screen can be more comfortable for reading, planning and longer tasks, but you can use the device that works for your study routine. No. Standard uses text lessons with selected videos. Premium adds more videos of teachers teaching real lessons, alongside extra guided scenarios and practical tasks. Text remains an important part of learning on both plans. The free lesson and course previews show the approach so you can check the fit before buying.

The course doesn’t use traditional essay-based coursework as its main assessment method. You’ll work with quizzes, teaching scenarios and the required learning tasks. Premium adds more practical tasks and guided learning. Those activities are intended to help you apply the course ideas, rather than produce long academic essays.

Standard includes technical and account support rather than full tutor support. Premium includes tutor support, extra learning activities and more feedback. Both course lengths offer the same choice of support tier. If guided learning matters to you, compare the Premium option before enrolling.

It means the explanations within scenario activities have been written to guide you through the teaching decision and its reasoning. Premium includes more of this scenario-based learning. It shouldn’t be read as a promise that every response or task is individually marked in real time. Ask us before enrolling if you need a particular kind of feedback.

You’ll need to complete the required quizzes and assessments successfully before a certificate is issued. Follow the instructions shown for each assessment in your LMS, including its pass mark and any review requirements. If you need to confirm a specific assessment rule before purchasing, contact the course team.

The assessments are part of completing the training, so you’ll need to meet their requirements. Read each assessment’s instructions for the available attempts and any required review work. We don’t guarantee a pass. If you’re struggling or the retake instructions aren’t clear, contact the course team for help with the next step.

Use the course-access link in your enrollment email to return to the private LMS. Your course-platform account can be separate from an older WordPress account. For a forgotten password, use the reset option on the same platform where your course is hosted. Check for spaces in a copied email address and outdated browser autofill details. Contact us if you can’t identify the right account.

Email tutor@intrepidtefl.com or use our contact page. Include the email you used to enroll, your course name and a clear description of the problem. Don’t send your password or full card details. Standard includes technical and account support; Premium also includes tutor support.

Yes. Your digital certificate with QR verification is included after successful completion. The 120-hour course includes a 120-hour certificate. The 150-hour route includes a certificate at the completed 120-hour stage and another at full 150-hour completion. You don’t need to buy a separate QR upgrade.

The QR code connects your certificate to its verification route so an employer can check the record. You can also use our certificate verification page. If a record isn’t appearing as expected, contact us with the certificate details. Don’t change or recreate the QR code yourself.

Our issued TEFL/TESOL certificate doesn’t have an expiry date. Your online course access period is separate: 6 months with Standard or 24 months with Premium. Employers can set their own expectations about recent training or experience, so keep developing your teaching knowledge after certification.

You can print your digital certificate if you need a paper copy. Keep its text and QR code clear and unchanged. A home printout, a separately supplied hardcopy, and a notarized or apostilled document are different things. Check the receiving employer’s or authority’s instructions before paying for printing, delivery or document services.

Yes, you can arrange apostille processing for IntrepidTEFL certificates when that document route is required. You’ll provide the digital certificate, pay the service provider and choose the required return option. The provider handles the required certification or notarization, apostille and delivery under its service terms. Confirm the current process, total fees and receiving authority’s requirements before ordering. Those services are separate from the course price.

A separate academic transcript isn’t listed as a standard course inclusion. Your included digital certificate has QR verification. If an employer asks for a transcript, a specific certificate format or another document, check with us before enrolling or buying a document service.

Our expert teachers make and update the course content, and we provide course support. IntrepidTEFL’s course accreditation and provider credentials include OTCAC and CPD Verified. Those independent records are useful checks alongside the curriculum, free sample and learner reviews. See About IntrepidTEFL for our approach. Private accreditation isn’t a guarantee that every employer will accept a course.

IntrepidTEFL’s business operates in the UK, and the live site describes a team of teachers working internationally. A UKPRN identifies a provider registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers. Registration is different from course accreditation and shouldn’t be read as government endorsement of a qualification. You can contact us for the provider details you need to check.

Course entry and job eligibility are different. A degree isn’t presented as a course-entry requirement for our core online training. Some jobs and work-permit routes do require a degree, while others have different requirements. Check the employer and the official work rules for your intended destination before buying a course for a specific role.

You don’t need previous teaching experience to begin the core training. The course introduces teaching knowledge and asks you to apply it through learning activities and assessments. Employers set their own experience requirements. Some roles are aimed at beginners, while others need a more experienced or differently qualified teacher.

There isn’t one age rule that applies to every English teaching job. Course enrollment requirements, employer criteria and work-permit rules can differ. If age eligibility is important to your plans, check the specific role and confirm course entry with us before paying. An older learner can still bring valuable experience and skills to teaching.

Yes, being a non-native English speaker doesn’t by itself prevent you from studying with us. You’ll need strong enough written and spoken English to understand the course and its assessments. Employers and work routes can have additional language, nationality or qualification requirements, so check those separately for the jobs you want.

You don’t need to know every learner’s first language to use the English-teaching approaches covered in the course. Clear models, examples, visuals, demonstrations and checks for understanding can support learning. Knowing a local language can help with life abroad and some teaching contexts. Requirements vary by employer, role and work route. Some jobs ask for TEFL training; others specify different qualifications or experience. Whether you need an observed teaching component depends on the job or qualification route you’re pursuing. Check that requirement before enrolling.

No. Standard includes basic job support. Premium adds a job support bundle with CV-making help, interview tips and a TEFL teaching travel guide. That helps with preparation; it isn’t a job-placement guarantee. Hiring decisions and work eligibility remain with employers and the relevant authorities.

Safety depends on the destination, employer, accommodation, travel arrangements and individual circumstances. Research the specific location, check current official travel advice, review the contract and speak with people who’ve worked for the employer. Build a local support network and an emergency plan. A course provider can’t promise that every placement will be safe.

Your experience will depend on where you live, how you spend your time and the people you meet. Colleagues, language exchanges, local classes, volunteering and interest groups can help you build connections. Research communities and activities before moving, and give yourself time to settle in. There’s no need to rely only on a workplace social circle.

That depends on the destination, work arrangement, dependent permissions, schooling and your budget. Check the current official requirements and ask the employer what support it actually provides. Include housing, education, insurance and travel costs in your planning. Don’t assume a teaching contract automatically covers family relocation.
