Check our 120-hour and 150-hour course accreditation, understand our provider credentials, and see how certificate verification works before you choose.
Course accreditation looks at the training. Provider accreditation looks at the organization. Registration gives a provider a checkable identity. Here’s how to tell them apart.
Course accreditation
OTCAC
OTCAC’s public directory lists IntrepidTEFL’s 120-hour and 150-hour TEFL courses. It reviews online training against its published standards.

What does OTCAC check?
Its TEFL standards cover course content and provider practices, including teaching methods, language skills, lesson planning, assessment, communication and pricing transparency. The directory also explains ongoing monitoring. Read the published TEFL standards ↗
Find IntrepidTEFL in the directory. Its separate verification tool accepts the website and reference number.
Provider accreditation
CPD-Verified
Our CPD-Verified credential relates to IntrepidTEFL as a training provider. It’s separate from OTCAC’s accreditation of the individual TEFL courses.

What does provider accreditation cover?
CPD-Verified’s provider standards address trainer expertise, learner policies and professional practice. They’re separate from its course-accreditation standards. Read about provider accreditation ↗

Provider identity

UKRLP registration
We’re registered with UKRLP, the UK Register of Learning Providers. Registration gives us a checkable provider identity alongside our separate accreditation credentials.

Is registration government accreditation?
UKRLP checks provider details against a recognized external source. Registration confirms a provider identity; it doesn’t represent Department for Education quality assurance or accreditation of the training.
Our online TEFL courses combine core teaching knowledge with a full unit on online teaching. Open a topic to see how the training connects to the work you’d like to do.
The 120-hour route includes teaching methods, lesson planning, classroom management, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, language skills and assessment. Explore the 120-hour course ↗

Every course option includes the full online teaching unit, so you can connect the core principles to teaching through a screen. The training also covers foundations for in-person teaching.
Extra depth in the 150-hour course
The 150-hour route adds in-depth teaching of children and very young learners, including phonics and sight words, plus teaching adults beyond the basics. You’ll receive certificates at the completed 120-hour and 150-hour stages. Explore the 150-hour course ↗

Accreditation and certificate verification.
Accreditation relates to the course or provider. Certificate verification lets someone check an individual completion record.
Our digital certificates include QR verification after successful completion. If an employer needs to check a certificate, use the existing verification page.
Need an apostille? Optional document processing is separate from accreditation and certificate verification. Ask us about the requirements before ordering.
TEFL accreditation FAQs
Questions about our credentials?
Here are the distinctions that matter when you’re choosing an affordable TEFL course.
OTCAC’s public directory lists our 120-hour and 150-hour TEFL courses. We also display CPD-Verified provider accreditation under reference 010991. The links above let you check the organizations’ own information.
Are both the 120-hour and 150-hour courses listed?
Yes. Both appear under IntrepidTEFL in OTCAC’s public course directory. Standard and Premium are the learning options for those course lengths, with different support, videos, activities and access periods.
Is this a regulated Level 5 qualification?
Our courses are affordable, privately accredited online TEFL training. They aren’t advertised as regulated Level 5 qualifications or CELTA courses. If an employer requires a specific qualification or observed teaching practice, check that requirement before enrolling.
Does accreditation guarantee a teaching job or visa?
No. Employers and authorities set their own requirements, which can include degrees, experience, nationality, teaching practice or specific qualifications. Check the intended role and document requirements directly.
What’s the difference between OTCAC and CPD-Verified?
OTCAC is the course accreditor shown for our 120-hour and 150-hour training. CPD-Verified is our provider credential. A provider credential and an individual course accreditation have different scopes.
Does Standard include tutor support?
Standard includes technical support and 6 months of access. Premium includes tutor support and 24 months, plus more real teaching videos, scenarios with tutor-written feedback, practical tasks and the job support bundle.
